Why Women Should Invest in Concealed Carry Licenses

Concealed carry licenses allow individuals to legally carry a concealed firearm for personal protection. While it is a personal decision whether or not to carry a firearm, women should seriously consider getting their own concealed carry license. There remains a 21% gap between male and female gun ownership. The number of women with their CCLs and owning guns have gone up in recent years; however, there’s still a long way to go in women being ontrack with men in gun ownership.

At Split 2nd Training, we believe that women across Florida deserve to be equipped with the skills and knowhow to feel comfortable handling and owning a gun. Everyone should know self-defense but it’s especially empowering for women. Here are a few reasons why we invest heavily in our womens-only classes:

Women are often targeted for violence.

Unfortunately, women are at a higher risk of being targeted for violence, including sexual assault and domestic violence. Carrying a concealed firearm can be a powerful tool in protecting oneself from these types of crimes. With a concealed carry license, women have the option to carry a firearm with them for self-defense in situations where they feel threatened.

The police can’t always be there.

Law enforcement does incredible work each and every day. However, while law enforcement officers are trained professionals, they can’t always be there to protect you in every situation. Response times can vary greatly depending on the location and circumstances of the incident. In situations where every second counts, having a concealed firearm can be the difference between life and death.

Carrying a concealed firearm can be empowering.

For many women, the decision to get a concealed carry license is not just about personal protection, but also about empowerment. A lot of women complete our classes discovering they’re pretty good shots! Knowing that they have the means to defend themselves if necessary can boost confidence and self-esteem. Additionally, learning to handle and use a firearm safely can be a valuable skill and a source of pride for many women.

Women have a right to protect themselves.

Ultimately, women have the right to protect themselves from harm just as much as men. The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution guarantees the right to bear arms, and women should not be excluded from exercising that right. By getting a concealed carry license, women are taking control of their own safety and exercising their right to self-defense.

While the decision to get a concealed carry license is a personal one, women should consider the many benefits of carrying a concealed firearm for personal protection. As Florida’s premier concealed carry class, we offer women’s only classes to help women feel more comfortable and empowered while learning about gun safety.
